Sometimes, life gets in the way of study due to reasons beyond our control. If you missed an assessment due to serious illness, an accident or other unexpected circumstances you may be able to apply for Special Consideration.
Before applying for Special Consideration, you should first check your eligibility. If eligible, you will be directed to the application form.
Your application must:
- include supporting documentation (e.g. Medical Impact Statement, police report or statutory declaration)
- be submitted within three (3) working days from the date of your exam/due date of your assessment (applications later than three days after the assessment will not be accepted unless you can provide evidence of exceptional circumstances which prevented you from applying on time)
- demonstrate that you have suffered serious illness or emotional disturbance or misadventure
- be for an assessment task worth 15% or more of the total assessment for the subject.
