Volunteers wanted: Law Week 2017

Law Week is an annual festival of events that makes learning about the law easy. It offers Victorians the opportunity to find answers to everyday legal issues through informative and fun events. Go behind the scenes at the courts or take part in debates, tours, mock-court trials and music performances. Stop by the Law Week Festival Hub at Fed Square to find out what’s on and pick up a Law Week program.

And on Saturday 20 May, Victorian courts open their doors to let you see behind the scenes for Courts Open Day. It’s a wonderful day out for the family, offering plenty of children’s activities. Check the website for the full Courts Open Day program:  lawweek.net.au

Volunteers are needed to be a part of the Courts Open Day Hub – tasks include giving out programs, answering questions about the day and pointing attendees in the right direction. The event runs from 10 am – 3 pm. There will be a rotating roster of two hour shifts so they are looking for volunteers willing to take on one or two shifts throughout the day.

Date: Saturday 20 May 2017
Time: 10 am – 3 pm
Venue: County Court Forecourt
