Research Week: join our Lunch time talks!

Join us for this year’s Research Week and help us celebrate our research success. Monday 28 August to Friday 1 September, the event aims to share our success and research stories with the community.

Come along to some of the exciting events being held as part of Research Week!

Daily lunch time talks

Two half hour sessions, highlighting the great research at La Trobe, will be held each day. The topics for these sessions are aligned to the new marketing campaign, “All kinds of clever” and will showcase the diversity of research at La Trobe.

Research Showcase

This year’s Research Showcase will focus on celebrating our research collaborations with industry.  All research staff and graduate researchers with existing industry partners are encouraged to display a research poster and to invite their industry partners to this event.  The Showcase will be held on August 31, 2017, 5.15pm at the John Scott Meeting House.  All researchers are encouraged to participate and to register your attendance.

Our annual Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT) will once again be part of Research Week and is scheduled for August 30 at 1.30pm in the John Scott Meeting House. The 3MT competition is a wonderful event celebrating the research of our HDR candidates.

Research Infrastructure Showcase

Hear from experts and La Trobe University researchers about how the various platforms, facilities and digital resources across the campus can assist you.  Scheduled for 1 September from 10am at the Nick Hoogenraad Auditorium, do drop by and learn about our research infrastructure .
