Free event – ‘She’ll be right’ Theatre Performance from international students

Students from Brazil, China, Columbia, Iraq, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Vietnam and Australia take to the stage in a powerful hour of storytelling about their experiences.

Just another international student?

A doctor working where drug dealers rule. An engineer now cleaning toilets. A good girl taking off her mask. A teacher passionate to share her language. A banker questioning real value. A volunteer translating for Syrian refugee….and more.

This performance will transport you in and out of cultural stereotypes through stories of passion, dream and sacrifice as students find a new voice in Melbourne and redefine who they are.

“Which story do you want to know, the one I tell my parents or the one I tell my friends?”

Book your tickets here, there are two shows available, you can select from:

Friday 27 October 2017, 6pm, RMIT University; or

Saturday 28 October 2017, 2.30, Immigration Museum

This is a FREE performance presented to you by Study Melbourne, City of Melbourne, RMIT University and the Australian Federation of International Students as part of the ‘Act of Translation’ project.
