Safety on Campus

La Trobe University has a number of initiatives in place to protect your safety.

We ask you to take the time to review this page including the emergency guidelines on the website, giving you preparation for events which may impact on your safety.

If you have concerns about your safety, or indeed the safety of others, please help us by reporting those incidents and concerns to the Security and Safety Operations Centre, which is operational 24/7, 365 days, on 9479 2012, or 1800 800 613. For Emergencies please call 9479 2222.

Tips to keep yourself safe on campus: Personal Safety

Uni-safe escort Service: If you are on campus and you feel unsafe, it’s too dark or too late, you can request someone to escort you to your car park, accommodation on campus or local public transport stop.
To access this service: 
Phone Security on Melbourne (Bundoora) extension 2012. A number of buildings have direct security access phones. Lift the handset and the phone will automatically contact security.
