Let’s talk about SSAF

What is SSAF?

Introduced in 2011, the Australian Parliament passed legislation enabling universities and other higher education providers to charge a fee for student services and amenities of a non-academic nature.

SSAF can only be used to fund services and amenities that are outlined by the Australian government, funds from SSAF help to improve Student Experience at La Trobe. You may use all or some of the services and amenities that the fee provides.

At La Trobe, SSAF contributes to different services including:

  • Counselling
  • Careers advice
  • Childcare
  • Health services,
  • Orientation and
  • Sporting and recreational activities.
