Changes in the bike path access – 30 April

If you ride your bike to uni, these changes that might affect your daily commute.

Darebin Creek Bike Path Bridge Replacement Dundas St / Banksia St, Thornbury / Ivanhoe

Attention cyclists, pedestrians and other users of the Darebin Creek there is a closure on the trail from Monday, 30 April 2018.  This is due to construction works to replace the existing wooden bridge over the Darebin Creek, the works will take up to 4 Months to complete. During the construction works, pedestrian and bicycle access across the bridge will not be available at Dundas St/Banksia St.

  • Pedestrians: Alternative crossing points are Bell Street to the North (12 min walk) and Darebin Road/Livingstone Street to the South (15 min walk)
  • Cyclists: Alternative crossing points are Darebin Road/Livingstone Street to the South (4 min ride) and Wood Street (15 min ride).

Please be aware of these changed traffic conditions and ride and walk with care.
