Graduation at La Trobe University

If you’re eligible to graduate, we will email a graduation invitation (to your La Trobe email address) a few weeks before your round of ceremonies. Find upcoming graduation ceremony dates here.

If you have passed your course and do not want to attend a graduation ceremony, you need to request to graduate ‘in absentia’ and have your testamur (certificate) mailed to you, or you can choose to collect it from ASK La Trobe or your local Student Administration office.

Academic Transcript and Completion Letter

You will receive a complimentary academic transcript once your completion is confirmed. You can also order your copies of your academic transcript online.

If you need a letter to confirm your completion status for permanent residency applications, or your completion details, place an online order by 11:59 pm Sunday 1 December 2019. So you will receive a course completion letter printed within five working days after your results are released.

Any order received from 2 December 2019 onwards will expect a standard processing time of 15 working days.

Invitation letters

If you need an invitation letter for your families from overseas to visit you, you can order either an Enrolment Letter (if not completed) or a Completion letter (if due to complete). The letter verifies your enrolment status and can be used to support a tourist visa application. You may need to write an invitation letter to your families as an essential part of the visa application.

If you need further information, contact ASK La Trobe online, by phone or face to face.
