Ready for your next fitness challenge to beat the winter blues? Join us for the Team La Trobe Walk & Run event throughout the month of June!
In a time where the La Trobe University community has been isolated from friends, family and colleagues, the Team La Trobe Walk and Run event will provide an opportunity for our community to connect and motivate one another in a two-week health and fitness challenge.
From June 16 to 30, participants will work individually or in teams to work towards completing a 42km marathon, either by walking or running. An average of three kilometres each day for the duration of the challenge, the kilometres can be completed at any time and any location to suit you or your team.
La Trobe Sport will share regular distance and course challenges throughout the event, with a variety of awesome prizes to be awarded for participant achievements that encourage conversation, motivation and connection.
There will also be a Facebook event set up for you to keep up-to-date with the team’s progress, win prizes via weekly competitions and to share your experiences while completing the challenge. As an added incentive, the first 10 people who sign up for the event will win a free Team La Trobe community singlet.

Q: How many team members are allowed in each team?
A: As many or as few as you like! Remember it is 3km on average per day.
Q: Does each individual in a team have to complete 42km individually?
A: No, the goal of a team is to achieve the marathon together.
Q: Can team members complete their walks and runs from different locations?
A: Yes. Simply track you distance on the Nike Run Club app wherever you walk or run. Further information on how to track your distance and join the challenge will be provided upon registration.
